A3 launcher mods stuck on downloading

I am trying to download some mods through a3 launcher to play Exile with my friends but they arent downloading. After clicking the "download mods" button next to the server we wanted to join it started the downloads but it is not progressing. Under the "Mods" tab the mods that are to be downloaded have a gray bar and say "waiting" but they arent downloading anything. I even tried downloading the mods manually without a3launcher and it still didn't work, so I am back here to try and fix it. The mods say that they are downloading, but still.
